CECA initiated Operation Round-Up, a community service program funded by its members, who round up their monthly bills to the nearest dollar, in 2003. As a participant, your electric bill is rounded up to the nearest dollar each month and the few extra cents are deposited into the Operation Round-Up fund. Operation Round Up funds are intended to benefit individuals and organizations within the service area of Comanche Electric Cooperative.
On average, members donate approximately $6 a year. There will be a line item listed as "Operation Round-Up" that shows the rounded-up amount on their monthly statements. Members interested in participating can do so by logging into their member portal and selecting “Operation Round Up” under the Services tab or by calling and speaking with a CECA member services representative at 800-915-2533.
Who is eligible for funding?
In a true example of neighbors helping neighbors, Operation Round Up seeks out opportunities to extend a helping hand where it is needed. To qualify for funds, the organization must be located within the service area of CECA. A wide range of donations are made annually to rural fire departments, community service projects, economic development projects, educational and youth programs, crisis centers, and to assist with emergencies such as fires or medical disasters.
